Brondesbury College For Boys is 2nd as SCHOOL OF THE YEAR

Shortlisted Nominees for the AMS UK Independent Schools Awards 2011

Alhamdulillah, the AMS UK Awards drew a large number of nominations for each of the Award categories and there was a surge in nomination submissions on deadline day, Friday 11th March.
After a detailed and exhaustive Judges Panel Meeting the judges selected the following shorlists for each award. Lead judge Mufti Hamid Patel commented: "Masha'Allah the quality of nominations was extremely encouraging and i'd like to thank all those who have nominated for doing so. It shows that independent Muslim schools are going from strength to strength and the students, parents, staff and communities that the schools serve appreciate their efforts."

Al Hijrah Primary School (Birmingham)
Brondesbury College for Boys (London)
Tawhid Boys School (London)

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADER OF THE YEAR
Asmat Ali (Islamia Girls High School, London)
Mona Mohamed (Manchester Islamic High School for Girls)

TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Saira Hanif (Al Aqsa Primary School, Leicester)
Shahin Karmali (Al Islah School, Blackburn)

There is no shortlist for Non-Teaching Staff of the Year but the winner for that category will be announced with the winners of all other categories at the AMS Annual Conference on Saturday 2nd April 2011.
